Hyundai Coupe – a car in the back of a three-door liftback Korean company Hyundai Motor. Produced
from 1996 to 2009. Known under the brands: Tiburon (translated from the Spanish “shark”) in North
America, Australia, Austria, New Zealand, Tuscani or Turbulence in South Korea, and Coupe in Europe
The first show of the sports coupe Hyundai Tiburon was held at the Geneva Motor Show in March 1996.
At the end of 1999, the model was seriously updated. Subsequently, the design of the car survived
another 3 facelifts (2002, 2005, 2007). The car was created specifically for the US market, so the flashy
design and reasonable price were the main focus (the latter was achieved by cutting back the options
available for Europeans and reduced finishing materials interior). Strong demand for the model provided
a low price and promotion in video games series Need For Speed.
